RACING PROGRAM

Welcome to the exciting world of racing! The DSC has a fleet of 12 J/22's and 9 Sonar 23s racing on Thursday evenings in the Canton turning basin. Thursday is the DSC’s night to race boats from other clubs as well as those privately owned. The evening usually consists of two to three races of two to four legs around a windward/leeward course.

Sailors who sign up at the Race Crew level or higher (i.e. Impulse or J/22 skippers) can join a racing team led by two racing skippers. Each race team is assigned a boat at the beginning of the season. Each team is responsible for setting its own team member rotation, but all members will have equal opportunity to race during the season. Racing spots are available beginning in February each year.
